Half Round gutters were the earliest form of metal hanging gutters. Prior to this gutter style, gutters would have been made of wood; if they had gutters at all. It wasn't until the 1940's that the k-style gutter became prevelent.

Half round gutters can offer an ellegance to home or buidling. Primarily, they are made from copper since copper allows for an almost maintenance free lifespan of about 100 years or more (if installed properly). The system is also availabe in .032" Kynar Painted Aluminum and Galvanized Steel.
